This Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to assist South Yorkshire's technical freelance businesses. The SIG is likely to be of the most value to you if you are based around ICT or Consultancy - but this isn't a rule - and it is likely that freelancers from different sectors face similiar problems.
In supporting Freelancers, the special interest group will...
- Provide a single point of contact for Freelancers in the region, and raise the profile of the South Yorkshire Freelance community, nationally and locally;
- Coordinate a series of workshops, addressing key issues for Freelance Businesses;
- Provide a place for freelancers to network, both between themselves and with potential clients in South Yorkshire
The SIG is also supported by our friends at the Professional Contactors' Group (PCG), the national trade association for Freelancers. We will bring leading speakers to the region to pass on their knowledge of freelancing - the risks and the rewards!
