>Introducing d-SY FLOSS SIG...

This Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to assist South Yorkshire companies gain competitive advantage by adoption of FLOSS technology. Emphasis is on leveraging FLOSS to support the development of new technologies, products and services leading to wealth creating opportunities for the regional economy.

In support of these aims, the special interest group will...

  • Provide a single point of contact for FLOSS related resources in the region, including a regular newsletter;
  • Coordinate a series of technical workshops including presentations by key developers of major FLOSS projects of interest to the region;
  • Identify skills shortages in FLOSS technology within participating organisations and work with partners to address these.
