Spotlight on Moodle
The Moodle
event (27th July) turned out to be quite something. In spite of
the sweltering heat, many of you gathered to hear the word from Martin Dougiamas, the antipodean behind the Moodle phenomenon. Martin gave a great presentation on Moodle past, present and future, before discussing the
opportunities for suppliers to partner with Moodle.

Martin was followed by Jason
Cole of the Open University. Jason is the architect behind the OU’s implementation of Moodle.
Jason’s discussion of the LMS platform evaluation exercise undertaken
before selecting Moodle was particularly
interesting.

Martin and Jason were then
subjected to questioning by an expert panel comprised of Ian Dolphin (Hull University), Adam Cooper (Tribal) and
Chris Hayman (Sun Microsystems) before the
discussion was opened up to the audience.
If you were unfortunate enough
to not attend the event, you can access the presentations here Moodle
presentations. Seb Schmoller has produced a summary report
of the event.
