Our solutions consists of two main elements:

Whether securing internal / external data transfer, automating the completion of e-forms by adding a digital signature, or the bigger challenge of meeting government e-business targets, Diginus can provide end-to-end business solutions that transform how your whole organisation works.

Best of all we do it quickly, scalably and in a way that's simple for organisations to embrace, all at a low cost. By providing a fully managed certificate service our clients need not set up physically secure facilities or run complex custom software. And yet at the same time our operational model gives users complete control over who has access to their confidential information.

Diginus has pioneered the use of Open Source solutions in the e-identity business.  Although we are not an exclusively Open Source company we are well versed in the benefits of the Open Source model and the advantages this brings such as peer review; speed of development; escape from code lock-in; etc.

What’s your style?
As a team we value integrity and professionalism.  We only recruit staff and select business partners who share these values. Each of our team members has a solid track record in delivering trust and security solutions.  The breadth of our experience spans the full range from highly specific applications to national project rollouts.

As well as technical expertise our team has the customer focus and interpersonal skills necessary to work at all levels of business and government, from the smallest SME right up to and including Government ministers.

What work have you done recently?
Below are some of the highlights of our current activities. More details can be found on our website www.diginus.com together with a number of case studies.

Sheffield City Council
We are working with Sheffield City Council to deliver e-government solutions to both citizens and council employees.  Additionally Diginus is supporting Sheffield in the establishment of the European Centre of Excellence for Smartcard Development and e-Inclusion www.smartcardexcellence.org

NERSC
Diginus is heavily involved in the North East Region Smart Card (NERSC) (www.nersc.org.uk) project.  This initiative aims to provide smartcard based digital identities to the citizens of 26 local authorities in the North East of England.  A notable early success of this project is the rollout of digital identities to thousands of Sunderland College students.

Healthcare
Diginus has been involved in supplying strongly authenticated healthcare solutions to NHS trusts for a number of years.  We have recently begun work with a number of local GP practices to facilitate faster, more accurate, and more secure patient data processing solutions.

International initiatives
Diginus is involved in a number of significant EU sponsored projects in the digital identity arena.  For example we are providing integration expertise to WSPES (www.wspes.org) to facilitate pan European support for strong digital signatures.  We are also providing digital identity expertise to a number of EU e-document authorisation and processing projects such as CertiServ and FAST.

Why did you join d-SY?
Diginus joined d-SY to support both the local digital economy and the efforts of South Yorkshire local authorities to meet their eGovernment targets.  We also wished to take advantage of the networking opportunities to meet like-minded companies and individuals.

What advantage have you gained?
Diginus has gained greater regional exposure and made a number of valuable contacts.

What’s been good about d-SY so far?
I guess I’d have to say the networking opportunities, that together with raising the profile of South Yorkshire as a hot bed of digital entrepreneurial flare and talent.
